Hey y'all! If you think Texas Hill Country has cornered the market on the perfect girls' trip, I've got a little secret to let you in on: pack your bags and point that car toward Round Top.
This tiny town (population 90, y'all — NINETY) turns into one of the biggest antique and vintage shopping events in the entire country a few times a year, and if you haven't experienced it yet, we need to fix that immediately.
I am obsessed with this place. Between the barns bursting with vintage finds, the wineries tucked into the countryside, and the kind of small-town charm that makes you want to move there on the spot, Round Top might just steal Hill Country's spot as your new favorite girls' trip.
When to Go
Mark your calendars: the 2026 Round Top Antiques Shows run Winter (January 22–24), Spring (mid-to-late March), and Fall (October 15 – November 1). Dates shift slightly by venue every year, so double-check before you book. If you're reading this outside show season, the good news is Round Top runs on a reliable rhythm — spring and mid-to-late October are always your best bets. My personal pick? Fall. Cooler weather, gorgeous light, and just enough holiday spirit creeping in to make everything feel extra special. Whatever season you choose, block off a full weekend. This town does not do "quick trip."
Must-Visit Wineries
You know I can't send you anywhere without a wine plan. A few Round Top-area favorites:
- Busted Oak Cellars in Carmine — cozy tasting room, live music most weekends, and a charcuterie board that might ruin you for all others.
- Saddlehorn Winery in Burton — a converted 12,000-square-foot horse barn turned tasting room with vineyard views for days.
- Blue Mule Winery right in Round Top — think tasting room, wine slushies, and farm animals wandering around because why not.
- Rosemary's Vineyard & Winery near La Grange — try the muscadine, thank me later.

Bring cash, bring a truck (or at least a very understanding trunk), and don't be afraid to negotiate a little — it's part of the fun. Round Top leans toward charming cottages, converted farmhouses, and boutique inns over big hotel chains — which honestly just adds to the whole experience. Book early, especially around show dates, because rooms (and cute little casitas) go fast. Group houses are clutch here if you're rolling deep with your girls.
